Katie Francis is every parent’s dream: confident, capable, strong and passionate. She's also an accomplished competitive shooter. In addition, Katie is also a big advocate for firearms safety.
One Of The Youngest Female Shooters
Katie Francis is one of the youngest female shooters in the history of multi-gun events, and an inspiration to thousands of other young girls all over America. When dad Chad Francis introduced Katie to the world of shooting, he had no idea he would be introducing her to her favorite hobby. But once Katie was bitten by the firearms bug, she was hooked. For Katie, sport shooting and hunting isn’t just about hitting targets and deer. More importantly, Katie is a big advocate for firearms safety.
Safety First
Throughout all of Katie’s training, her mentors insisted that she know proper firearm safety and handling technique. Now after years of shooting (more than half of Katie’s life), Katie is now instructing her peers and elders on the importance of maintaining proper safety precautions. At the range, Katie is frequently seen encouraging others to abide by high safety standards—just like how her father taught her, and how Katie’s grandfather taught him.
Rockcastle Pro Am 3-Gun Championship
Just because safety is as important to Katie as winning, that’s not to say she doesn’t do plenty of the latter! At the Rockcastle Pro Am 3-Gun Championship, she joined members of Team Benelli to win prize money that was to be split between the winners and the Task Force Dagger Foundation. When her older team members chose to give their winnings to her, Katie promptly turned and gave it all to Task Force Dagger. Katie is an advocate for using firearms responsibly and for the freedom the Second Amendment offers, even as a young woman.
