Cindy Gregory doesn’t consider herself a “shooter,” but alongside her husband Joe they stand firmly with the NRA to preserve the family values that they both hold dear.
A Love For American Freedom
Cindy Gregory says that she stands for the normal things in life that middle America stands for. She was raised on a farm with a strong faith in God, a close-knit family and a love for American freedom. Some of Cindy’s fondest childhood memories were that of the joy at seeing the harvest from her father’s hunting trips. She married her husband Joe after first saying no when he asked her out. Twenty-one years later, Cindy and Joe have worked hard to pass those same traditions down to their two sons, and they believe the NRA plays a critical role in preserving these values.
Family Values
While Cindy is a novice shooter herself, her boys sport shoot and hunt with their father, just as her brothers and father did when she was growing up. Both Cindy and Joe encourage their sons to learn how to handle a firearm safely and responsibly. Outside of her family, Cindy also spurs other women to try their hand at firearms and becoming leaders in their communities. These activities, along with Christian family values, are a cornerstone in their family bond that Cindy hopes will extend to future generations.
Unwavering Leadership
Charter members of the NRA’s Golden Ring of Freedom, Cindy and Joe have given over a million dollars in financial support to the NRA. For Cindy, protecting the rights that her fellow citizens enjoy—like the right to bear arms—means that you’re treating others the way you want to be treated. Cindy knows that the NRA is a voice for real Americans and helps to uphold her core beliefs of faith, family and freedom. Those values are at the heart of how Cindy supports organizations. Ensuring others can enjoy the freedoms offered by the Constitution is one way she shows her community and nation that she cares.
